Ce microphone est certes de petite taille mais d’une grande polyvalence. En raison de sa taille miniature, il présente une directivité omnidirectionnelle d’une précision exceptionnelle et n’a donc pas besoin d’être dirigé directement vers la source sonore pour obtenir un son de qualité. La directivité omnidirectionnelle le rend également moins sensible aux bruits de manipulation ainsi qu’aux plosives et au vent.
